How rapper, Snoop Dogg was stopped at Italian airport with $420,000 in cash

Italian police stopped American rapper Snoop Dogg at Lamezia Terme airport on Saturday for trying to board a plane with over $420,000 in undeclared cash.  Police seized half the money and opened an investigation, local media said.

The “Drop it like it’s hot” singer had performed two shows in the south of Italy and was on his way to the UK, where he is slated to take to stage at the Kendal Calling Festival, according to the AGI news agency.

During a security check before the rapper boarded his private jet, police saw two bags full of cash, totalling $422,000 (384,000 euros).  Travellers within the European Union must declare any amount over 10,000 euros in cash as part of efforts to combat money laundering.

The artist cooperated with the authorities and only asked that he could leave as soon as possible for London, local reports said.  According to AGI, four lawyers have been assigned to the case and Snoop Dogg will be able to reclaim the rest of his money after paying a fine.

The airport incident comes barely a week after the 43-year-old was briefly arrested by police in Sweden on suspicion of using illegal drugs.

Lil Wayne's ex-wife and reality star Toya Wright has penned down a book titled 'How To Lose A Husband' following her recent separation from husband number two, rapper and former Sony Exec, MempHitz. Toya told Wendy Williams on her show yesterday that while her husband of almost four years took to social media to deal with their marital problems, she decided to pen a book using experiences from both her marriages.

In a telephone interview with Premium Times, Chief Obasanjo said party members in his ward led by the ward Chairman, Mr Surajudeen Olajundoye paid him a visit that Monday to express their concern over his inactivity in the party, saying that his inaction has made them uncertain of their own political future in PDP. Nigeria's former President Olusegun Obasanjo has quit the ruling People's Democratic Party (PDP) ahead of the 28 March elections, tearing up his membership card in public.

Mr Obasanjo has been fiercely critical of President Goodluck Jonathan, who is seeking re-election on a PDP ticket.

Mr Jonathan is facing a strong challenge from opposition candidate Muhammadu Buhari.

The elections, due on 14 February, were postponed over security concerns.

BBC Nigeria analyst Ibrahim Shehu Adamu says Mr Obasanjo's decision is a major blow to the PDP, showing the divisions that have hit the party as it battles to extend its 15-year rule.

'Serious embarrassment'

In a statement, the PDP described Mr Obasanjo as a "revered leader of our party" and said it was "deeply saddened" by his resignation.

It added that it was "bewildered" by the former president's choice to tear up his party membership card in public.

Incredible pics captures moment woman is rescued from sinking car

A woman is extremely lucky to be alive after her car drove off a rock wall of a car park and into a harbour and began sinking. The petrified woman was squashed up against the rear window as the front end of the car was submerging in the Waitemata Harbour in Auckland at 3pm on Tuesday. 

Fortunately witnesses called emergency services as quick-thinking policemen arrived and sprung straight into action by jumping into the water to save her, one attempting to break the glass with a baton, before the second officer broke the glass with a rock pulled from the water. Father of baby who won PZ's Baby Moment competition cries out after wife took another man to represnt him at competition

Oluyinka Davids, the father of Morireluwa, the beautiful girl who won the 2015 PZ Cusson baby moment which held in Lagos on February 1st, has cried out after his wife, Funmi Davids, who he is currently separated from, took another man to represent him at the grand finale of the competition 

In an interview with Encomium mag, Oluyinka (above) said he and his wife separated a while back and she moved out of their matrimonial home. He said to get back at him, she took another man, her younger sister's husband, to pose as the father of his daughter during the finale of the competition. He said he got his daughter registered for the competition but that as the little girl was advancing in the competition, she shut him out. I got a copy of the mag and typed out the interview. Jaycee Chan  plead guilty to providing shelter for others to use drugs and was sentenced to 6 months in jail at the beginning of January 2015..

He was released from  Beijing’s Checheng prison today, Friday, February 13.

on why he spent less than 2 months in prison, the courts took into account the fact that, he had been locked up since August .So they combined the sentence.
